Education

Chaitanya Social Welfare Foundation, Mumbai was established with the intention of making people independent and ensuring that they lead dignified lives while contributing to society and the country as a whole. Education plays a vital role in creating a healthy society. Academic excellence, innovative pursuit and athletic dynamism form strong pillars of our education system. We believe in pursuing the wellness of body and mind. We called this project as โ€œProject Akshaydnyanโ€

In order to empower every child with education, Chaitanya Social Welfare Foundation, Mumbai started School Kit Donation Drive in 2018 to provide educational aids to children from economically weaker sections of the society.School Kit is a set of materials such as school bag, notebooks, pen, pencil, drawing book, colors and compass box which varies as per the sections like primary, secondary and higher secondary.

Since 2018 School Kits have been distributed to children in schools across Maharashtra. School Kits have also been distributed in many regions across India which suffered large scale devastation due to natural calamities. In the last 2 years we distributed 500+ School Kits including and additional kits were sent to the flood-impacted areas of Sangali.

Digital learning is the need of the hour. Recognizing this need, Chaitanya Social Welfare Foundation is trying to digitalize schools in remote areas. We already know schools in remote areas lag behind in infrastructure. So, we decided to implement digital/online learning, there is a lack of computers, internet, personal mobiles/ devices to connect video calling, webinars etc.

Educational Parenting is the activity which we implemented for students who want to learn but cannot due to some difficulties. In this, we help those students by spending all the educational expenses of those students up to class X.

Every year during Ganeshotsav, we run One Notebook & One Pen Activity. In this, we make a request to the devotees who come to pay obeisance to Lord Ganesha, to keep a book and a pen in front of Bappa along with flowers and prasad. So, those collected notebooks and pens we distribute in different tribal and remote areas. We are running this activity from Year 2018.
